Wep Harris Oval, Brisbane
On Sunday 18 May, at 27 locations right across Queensland, led by Brisbane's Walk at Wep Harris Oval, the pitter patter of thousands of small, medium and large paws, along with their human buddies, will sound for the RSPCA Million Paws Walk 2008.
The Million Paws Walk is a fantastic excuse to treat your ‘best friend’ to a great day out whilst supporting the crucial work of the RSPCA. And if that doesn’t get you in the mood, then the prizes and giveaways right across the state as well as animal displays and cool merchandise for you and your pooch certainly will! And because we all know the important role the RSPCA plays in the welfare of so many unwanted and unloved animals, the Million Paws Walk is a great day for everyone – pet owners and pet-friendly people alike!
Speaking of exclusive merchandise, we’re talking 2008 Million Paws Walk men’s and ladies t-shirts, caps and bucket hats – there’s something for the entire family including dog coats and bandanas for the star of the day - your four legged friend.
Once you’ve completed your walking duties, there’s lots on offer to entertain you and your pooch buddies. Watch dog agility and flyball demonstrations, have your dog washed by Aussie Pooch Mobile (all proceeds kindly donated to RSPCA Qld), visit Pet care displays and check out products for sale – plus there’s raffles throughout the day, tons of cool prizes on offer and competitions to enter. And of course, given all those paws hitting the pavement there’s will be plenty of food stalls as well as great entertainment activities for the kids.
This is a great nation-wide event supporting a fantastic and worthy cause, doggone it, see you there! Oh – and don’t forget the leash!
